We needed some decompressing with a Bloody Mary, a Moon Man, and a 3-piece Fish Fry at the River Inn Bar after a stressful drive north this Friday.
Thanks to the mini-blizzard, the roads on the way to Chippewa weren't great, but this cod certainly was. The three fillets were chunky, and kissed by a well-seasoned breading that played off the flaky fish just right. A few crinkle-cut fries did their part, while a thick and creamy tartar practically stole the show. Yum.
Some super-creamy slaw, and a nice little piece of grilled toast filled out this $15 Fry just right, admirably playing their roles, but not trying to do too much.
Sometimes stumbling across a place during a quick Google search pays off and it did today. The River Inn is a great little spot and this was definitely a great little lunch. Easily recommendable.
