The 3-piece cod from @oregonhq checked every box and then some.
The cod was what it's supposed to be - flaky and grease-free, with a light, inoffensive batter that played perfectly with the tartar. Really well done.
The waffle fries were scrumptious, the slaw seemed to be homemade, and the football roll was crustier than usual and exploded all over when crunched into (which was surprisingly welcome).
The unexpected highlight came in the form of the aforementioned tartar sauce which was ultra creamy with a fantastic pop and a little something extra. Yum. You're welcome, fish.
On a 65 degree day, the patio at Headquarters was nothing less than amazing and being able to have this fish out there was simply wonderful. The service was also excellent which made the experience all the better. Overall, there was a lot to like about this Fish Fry and I'll definitely be back to the HQ.
