Overall, I would barely recommend this Fish Fry.

Comment: Popped into the Westby Rod & Gun in an attempt to retain a sense of normalcy on what is sure to otherwise be a very abnormal day.
The Rod & Gun is a proud @syscofoodie shop which makes the Fish Fry exactly what you’d expect it would be. The 2-piece lunch features a couple petite cuts of cod in a light and innocuous breading. It fried in a flash and paired well with the thick food service tartar. There are a bazillion French fry options aside from the default baby reds and my waffles played their part well.
Standard Sysco slaw and grandma’s dinner roll also did the deed, rounding out this Fish Fry exactly as they should.
While this fish Fry isn’t fancy you wouldn’t really expect it, nor need it, to be. It did what we needed it to do today and sometimes that enough. If you’re in Westby sometime, check it out.westbyrodandgun.com/
